Firetiger 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2009 I have 1 large compartment box for terrestrials and caddis, 1 medium for big mayflies, 1 medium for small mayflies, 1 small Wheatley for winter grayling fishing, 1 small Wheatley for french nymphs, 1 box for stillwater patterns (buzzers mostly), some storage boxes for flies I don't like anymore and 1 C&F box of buggy nymphs that I use for majority of my fishing and which is always empty :-) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

A box of unweighted nymphs all mayfly and stonefly a box of beaded nymphs mayfly and stonefly a box of terrestrials hoppers, some emergers too mayflies and termites a box of winter wets Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
critter 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2009 For trout I have my flies seperated out by fly type, for warm and salt water I have them boxed together. So mine are seperated out as listed below in those light weight c&f boxes by: 1 box of: wet flies with soft hackles 1 box of: dry flies 1 box of: nymphs 1 box of: midges 1 box of: micro midges 1 box of: steelhead flies (a mix if egg flies, stoneflies, and streamers) 1 box of: streamers 1 box for surplus flies that were tied up for all of the above boxes Then, 2 Plano boxes of: bass and pike flies 3 Morrel boxes of: bonefish flies Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
tye2fly 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2009 i put mine in the plastic divider boxes that go in the big soft tackle boxes. then when i need to restock my actual fly boxes that i bring to the water i just open up the tackle box and refresh the fly boxes. boynabubble 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 I have 8 fly boxes. Nymphs- C&F with a swing leaf. I divide them into midges and small mayflies, generic and specific mayflies, attractor mayflies, wet flies, caddis larvae and pupae, scuds and sowbugs, czech nymphs, stoneflies, worms, and cranefly larvae. Dries- C&F box. Traditional mayflies, thorax, parachutes, emergers and midges on one side, caddis, attractors and terrestrials on the other. Guide Box- Full of flies that are on loan from the fly shop for guiding. Selection depends on season. Eggs- Just a small 6 compartment box divided by color. Hoppers- Small fly box, organized by size. Trout Streamers- Large fly box, organized by pattern and size. Smallie Box #1- All of my deep flies; crayfish, darters, clousers, etc. Smallie Box #2- Streamers and surface flies. I have a compartment style box for my dry flies, separated by type.
