David Legg 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2010 Nice! I've been at work all day, and now I'm too tired to unpack my vise from last night's clinic and tie. And tomorrow is yet another long day! This isn't how my winter was planned.
dafunk5446 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2010 Smalliestalker, do you wrap the fur on the bodies with the hide still attached or do you remove it and use a dubbing loop?
smalliestalker 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2010 I wrap it with the hide still attached....makes for a more solid fly
Pelhament 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2010 I used to wrap the hide also, but after the fly gets water logged the weight of the fly comes into play, especially in windy conditions. I started using the Magic tool and Mitch's bobbin whirler for all of my bunny and MOAL leeches and I have never had a problem with the durability of the fly. They look exactly the same but without the hide soaking up all that water, you can cast them all day long without fatigue.
TheCream 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Love the leeches! I love about anything tied with rabbit strips, though.
