Making a mandrel for turning cork, foam and balso bodies.

Recommended Posts

I thought some of the popper builders would be interested in my "industrial strengh" mandrel, and the foam blocks I got with it. The mandrel is 2.5 inches over all, with the ringed nail one inch. the two side brads are 3/8th inch. The distance from brad to brad is 3/8" as well. The blocks are 4x2x1." These all came from Edgewater more than 20 years ago. Back then I actually turned a few poppers. I have looked, but don't see a web site for Edgewater, but I do see the popper bodies for sale in a few places. Company contact information is:

Edge Water Fising Products

1116 South 2450 West

I am not affiliated to them in any way.
