Cheri 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2010 Love it! Need some black cat or border collie? Friend of mine saves all her dryer lint for tying, starting campfires and for the wild birds. Waste not want not!

neoFLYte 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2010 HAHAHAHAHAHHA. My wife wants to use the hair from our black lab for tails. It is everywhere in the house. I have a white lab and also have an abundance of spare dog hair. I've tied several flies with it, but I can't say that I've been satisfied with the results. Probably because sorting random shedding into anything even remotely uniform is quite a challenge.

perchjerker 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2010 Have very good friends who years ago had a beautiful Siberian Husky that would leave huge clumps of very pretty soft gray hair every place he would lay down. She LOVED to see me come visit as I was always collecting the stuff to tie very appealing gray nymph patterns with. Saved her the trouble of cleaning up after the dog. (I have a lifetime's supply laid in.)
