Well, actually tinsel is a slightly differant. Oval tinsel is round, but that doesn't look like oval tinsel to me. Heck, maybe it is, kind of hard to tell from the picture. However, regular tinsel is flat. Like this:

Antennas, legs, tails on nymphs. Wrapped, they make nicely segmented bodies on small dries and nymphs. I love using them as wingcases on the smallest of my nymphs. I like the natural sheen on them, not quite as bright as a flashback, but not as dull as plain fibers.
