fish 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2004 I saw a fishing show on the weekend with Italiano Lebanon who was fishing a very small river in southern Ontario with 14' 11 wt spey rod for chinook salmon. Anyway, I thought I spotted The Golden Boy releasing a nice brown for the camera. Obviously takes some skill to pick up a brown when chinooks are swarming like that. Guest Report post Posted October 21, 2004 Very scary- no yellow hat, no pristine vest, holding a plastic fish...
Pujic 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2004 Hey guys, I wasn't going to say anything about the cover but now that someone else has, THANK YOU!!! Algonquin Park is a very special place, and to see that story make the cover will always be special to me. I will make the article avalbale online however I must ask permission from the magazine first as they now own the rights to it. Funny business this outdoor writing... That brookie was caught and released in 2003. Truly an amazing fish, and no hat or vest Dave. We were fishing from canoes and didn't need to wear any of the gear. About the Canadian Sport-Fishing TV show, DAMN, I must have missed it. I caught that brown about 100 yards downstream of the filming location and when they saw what it was they rushed over and started shooting. Just a case of being at the right place at the right time. Maybe I'll catch a re-run. Thanks for the heads up "Puking Pujic" - HA! We'll see about that
