so on the may long weekend i'm heading out to the west branch of the Ausable, i'm not much of a trout guy so i dont really know what to tie up any clues for that area?

Druce when exactly are you going to be there? this is the one in NY correct

im going to be there from may 19th to may 22nd and yes the NY one around lake placid. My poor internet sources tell me that the water levels are evening out, i hope the weather will be nice.

Hook size 10-14 1x , 10's my size

Body Flouresent red uniyarn

Wing white hair,deer is good. Tied back over the body and hook end but sparsly. Fish it like a dry fly till it sinks,retreave it back

Apparently they will be having a wet week which means high/dirty water. There will also be a Two Fly contest going on at that time so you might want to sign up ...or prepare for some crowds. Unless you have already signed up & you're looking for some hints as to what 2 flys to fish with :)
