I had decent success with a hybrid of my own a couple of years ago. It was a Hares Ear/Pheasant Tail.

Tail: rabbit

Abdomen: pheasant tail

Thorax: gray dubbing

Wing case and legs: pheasant tail

Head: gold bead

If I can find some pics I will post them later.

Thanks,

The back of the thorax is a blend of red fox squirrel Belly hair and ice dubbing. The forward part of the thorax is squirrel back fir mixed with ice dubbing.
