Foam for fly boxes

I am not sure if this is the proper forum or not, but here goes. I have hunted all over the internet and Ebay and have been unable to find ripple foam or any kind of suited to a fly box. I want to build some fly boxes out of exotic hardwoods for my self. Any fly box builders out there who could help me find foam?

Get the ripple foam boat patch, it's big enough to get 2-3 fly boxes out of if they are average size boxes http://www.madriveroutfitters.com/p-2490-big-ripple-boat-patch-foam.aspx

My local fly shop has some from simms. You can also try your local craft store where the foam will be really cheap.

Search on "Foam Fly Box Insert" you should find plenty of links. I can find the millstream inserts at my local shop most of the time.

 

I cut my own slotted foam inserts from 4 mm craft foam, and glue them into the boxes with shoe goo.

Cabela's has it to fit standard size boxes. It has adhesive backing too.
