FlyFishin'Jam 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2012 Hooray Flies from the bench in March, well kind of a mixture here... Heading off for pink salmon in BC during August so these little pink clousers should be nice. Next up is a Nail Fly, in fact it is a saltwater fly named the 'flats master' with a few differences, if you were to fish this in the salt i would make the hackle a bit bigger, and you would trim the hackle off the bottom of the fly, excellent to use when you need something sparse deep in a hurry. Uses Clear Cure Goo on the body, you wrap the hackle on then blast it with the UV, now the hackle is not going anywhere. Black with black holo tinsel body. Natural. A few of them. A little tiny bendback fly here. Next is a Mirror Minnow in purple with some extra leadfree wire on the shank Then more shrimps in a mini size, going to fling them for salmon too *grin*, tho this in the salt is a nifty pattern. CTobias 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2012 Tied up some Green Butt Skunk Variants and a Double hooker. Been trying to work on my married wings. These things are a real pain in the arse!! Darn wings always want to collapse on themselves. I need to get some bigger feathers for the larger hooks I have. This wapsi goose shoulder aint cutting it for anything bigger than a size 2 hook.
