Crackaig 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2013 Got a few of my BiColour nymphs done for myself today. The original Wire body for weight, With a bead, Fancy (Usefull as a point fly on the lochs), Scruffy, hare's ear version, And even a simple caddis pupa, (Sorry not my best photos, couldn't find my lens extension tubes) Now its back to the Wally Winged Grey Wullfs and Double Badgers. 5 dozen of these to get tied today. Cheers, C.
Piker20 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2013 what is the purpose of using a double hook? Well it allows a smaller hook that is heavy to sink down without using additional weight or a heavy wire hook. They ride quite nicely in the flow and they are traditional, I like the look of them over singles. The barbs will be flattened before fishing and they don't seem any more difficult to remove than singles.
Fishypieter 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2013 Kimo That is one good looking fly. Might have to steal it. LOL
Hellgrammite 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2013 Crackaig, the nymphs, I love them. Gonna try these in the 20-22 sizes, look much easier than PTs at that size.
