I think that's actually a grouse, maybe sharptail or prairie chicken skin.

Don't know what you would pay in the states in a shop but price seems ok.

When buying any feathers you can't physically look at, you need to weigh up the chance they might arrive and be a waste of money

Does the price you pay outweigh sticking with a trusted on line supplier or local store and paying more but knowing what you'll get.

The skin looks to me like a female Himalayan partridge. Different markings and colouration than a Hungarian partridge. Still some very nice feathers.
