Herring......it's what's for dinner

Recommended Posts

If you're a striper herring are a great meal for the spring (I like mine smoked or pickled with sour cream w/onions). This is about 9 inches or more and a mix of natural and synthetic materials in a modified Deceiver. Big wide saddles, then arctic fox body, next using yellow and blue SF Blend to give it the herring colors and finally fancy eyes of jungle cock and some feathers a friend gave me.

I'll say it again, "you striper guys tie the best looking flies"! I'm with Andy, that herring will hunt.

Thank you all, it's great to have support from other fly tyers such as yourselves.
