Here is a quick recap of the local ponds fished this past week. And then, Saturday's trip to a Tailrace where we fished with an 8wt Fly Rod and an 8wt Switch Rod. Was a tough go but did catch and release a couple of Carp as well as hook into two nice Striped Bass! Vlog #5 - "Local Ponds and Denison Dam"

Had fun again at the local Tailrace using a Switch Rod for Striped Bass this past Saturday. Mainly little Striped Bass but did get one Keeper! Video.

Got 34 crappie and 3 gills this morning. All standing in one spot. My wife had the camera elsewhere.

Rubber legged dragon, Only and yellow boa yarn fly used.

Fished a local pond and caught Bluegill, a couple of little Bass, and a Snake that went for a Bluegill! Vlog Video. All were caught and released!

In all my years of snake catching and keeping and observing ... I've never seen a snake actually chase after a fish like that. I have watched them sit and wait, and strike and catch a passing fish ... but never an active chase.

Caught a nice catfish while fishing with the Micro Flyrod! Was mainly targeting little fish but a nice Catfish decided to play! Lotta fun flyfishing with the little flyrod! Today's Video.

That is a pretty catfish. Nice fight on that little rod. I'm always happy to get a catfish hit.
