artimus001 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2015 welcome to the forum. if you are talking about a cutter that you press straight down to cut (no sawing motion), i think using a piece of craft foam might help to get a complete cut. it will give an allowance for any irregularities between the cutter and your cutting surface. cutter material foam cutting board
FlaFly 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2015 Art, I agree but I wouldn't waste my foam sheets... maybe a rubber mat like a silicone kitchen mat.

Stevester 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2015 I use thin plastic cutting sheets from Walmart. After they get too scratched up from kitchen use they get repurposed for craft and hobby use. A pack of 4 costs about $5 US and lasts for a long time. Steve

Guest Report post Posted May 29, 2015 +1 on an eraser. Works great, and is cheap. I use a "pen" easer as I think the "pink pearl" type, having some abrasive in it, will dull your blade faster.
