FIN-ITE 34 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2016 Very nice Adam. I too like the dubbing loop of flashabou to "hackle" the fly. I watched Nicklaus Bauer do it in his videos and now use that technique on many of my pike patterns.
Adam Saarinen 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2016 Thanks FIN-ITE 34! I forgot to mention use glue alot, lock things in & trim tag ends! I met Niklaus Bauer in April at our fly expo, loved his Evolution tattoo of the caveman with a club that turned into a human with a flyrod! He also told me green&gold & pink&pearl are the best colours while i was pumping him for information! Also let me play with his MP swiss master vise, that's why i bought one! But the person i would really like to meet is Daniel D Holm! Hope he is at our new fly show next spring!?!

Alway's better to do it on the boss's time & keeps the smell out of your own home! Very nice efficient SBS, thanks Adam! That said, could you possibly post up a photo of that fly going through the water? I'm jonesing to see what it looks like wet and how much it 'compresses' when so.
