December Flies from the Vise

Recommended Posts

Thanks to Josephcsylvia's generosity, I have a ton of new material and colors to play with. Here's the first ones to come off the vice. A shad, shiner, and panfish.

Joe, do you find those more colorful bonefish flies successful.

I find the more muted - match the bottom bugs in tan, cream etc have better results for me ...which of course is now a self fulfilling prophecy cause I always start with them as my confidence fly.

I actually use these brighter bonefish flies for redfish! They love them.

Yes I can believe that ...I've used variation of bonefish flies in root beer or tobacco for Reds.

Thanks for the response.

It's been too long since I've been at the vice, but got a little bit of time tonight. Just some simple Wooly Buggers using Cohen's Carp Dub in a dubbing loop for the body.
