Partridge and Green classical, recipe needed for soft hackles

Recommended Posts

The classic pattern calls for a green silk body, a darker green thorax and a grey partridge hackle. Standard wet or dry hook depending on how deep you want to fish it. Hare's mask (not dyed) is often used for the thorax. The body could be green Pearsall's Gossamer tying silk or Pearsall's green Marabou silk floss. You could substitute green acetate floss or Uni-floss. Or just use green tying thread if you don't have the floss.
