mikechell 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2017 Been losing some flies to Gar and weeds. Tied up some replacements today. Panfish Attractors on #6 Limerick Hooks. Flip flop poppers on #6 Aberdeen Hooks. For you drug junkies, you'll like my favorite color combos: On the left is ... "Black Cricket on Grass". On the right is ... "Hopper on coke"
caloosa bug 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2017 Panfish Attractors on #6 Limerick Hooks. Those are nice Mike! I've been wanting to try some of those. You've convinced me to finally tie some up. I bet the big crappie around here would gobble those up like grass shrimp. Your poppers could be called boa flip pops.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2017 Thanks, Caloosa. The Attractors are my most productive pattern. My goto. I like the name for the poppers, LOL.

mikechell 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2017 Ha ha ... funny, Rich. I agree with you. But, I have been losing as many of them. I haven't needed to tie any replacements, yet.
flytire 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2017 silver nymph Silver Nymph Hook: Nymph/wet style Thread: Black Belly and Back: Turkey tail feather fibers pulled forward after wrapping body Body: Flat silver tinsel Legs: Brown hackle trimmed top and bottom Tying note: Try different colors of tinsels for the body to achieve different effects. Add ribbing for added durability. Apply a swipe of your favorite adhesive to the top and bottom of the tinsel body and then pull the turkey fibers forward glueing them to the body. Sight Cast 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2017 Got a good weekend to field test these prototype gurglers I've been working on. The redfish were smashing it and also landed a 26" speckled trout on it. The fly was working great and held up good all day.
