  1. I am sending out my March flies today at lunch. A Marabou Mickey Finn Variant. Sorry about being so late in sending out the flies. I will do better in the coming months. John
  2. Received my flies yesterday. Great ties everyone. Thanks for hosting the swap. John
  3. Donating the set sounds like a good idea to me. Do you belong to any groups that may be able to use them in a raffle or such? Our TU chapter has occasional raffles and we have a saltwater fly fishing club up here also. Maybe there are equivilents down in Texas. I have no problem with whatever you chose to do. John
  4. Robert, I can vouch for the Saltwater Edge in Newport, RI about 30 minutes from home. A little expensive but very nice product. I don't dye anything yet, so I can't help you on that. John
  5. Just back from the post office, mine are officially in the mail. John
  6. I have two more to tie tonight and then in the mail on Tuesday. NJL
  7. Mine are in the mail today. I tied up the St. Patrick. which seemed suitable for the upcoming holiday. John
  8. I got mine earlier this week and Crackleback is correct. It looks like it's going to be a very good year. Great flies everyone. John
  9. I also support the hand stacking and blending method. You can start the blending process while "stacking" the bucktail and complete by rolling between the fingers, although often just the process of "stacking" a number of times will blend the bucktail successfully.
  10. I'm in with a September Night. John
  11. Mine went out yesterday. Starting on the wet flies today. John

    Getting Fishing Gifts

When my youngest was in Kindergarten she got me a cat toy that looked like a fishing rod. Her older sister still won't let her forget it. John
  13. I have also been trying to resist, but resistance is futile. I'm in. This will be fun. Thanks for hosting. John
  14. Mine came in the mail over the weekend. Great ties everyone and very creative. I can't wait for spring to try these out. John
