Donating the set sounds like a good idea to me. Do you belong to any groups that may be able to use them in a raffle or such? Our TU chapter has occasional raffles and we have a saltwater fly fishing club up here also. Maybe there are equivilents down in Texas. I have no problem with whatever you chose to do. John

Robert, I can vouch for the Saltwater Edge in Newport, RI about 30 minutes from home. A little expensive but very nice product. I don't dye anything yet, so I can't help you on that. John

Mine are in the mail today. I tied up the St. Patrick. which seemed suitable for the upcoming holiday. John

I got mine earlier this week and Crackleback is correct. It looks like it's going to be a very good year. Great flies everyone. John

I also support the hand stacking and blending method. You can start the blending process while "stacking" the bucktail and complete by rolling between the fingers, although often just the process of "stacking" a number of times will blend the bucktail successfully.
