  8. To my Liberal friends and Conservative Friends: To my Liberal friends: Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of yo...ur choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religi...ous or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2014, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other countries nor the only "America" in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishes. To My Conservative Friends: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
  9. http://vimeo.com/7973361 just something I like to listen to as I tie
  10. thats ok the best spinning hair comes from the belly and the back
  11. looks a bit over done or as my dad would say burnt offering great fly
  12. I am tying a streamer that I use on brook trout but I also use it on gills when they are pushing the shoreline for minnows if you have never seen a shore line push it really is cool to watch a group of big gills push a bunch of minnows right up on the shore just swallowing as many as they can the first time I ever seen it was on my buddy's pond and it looked like the shoreline was boiling from the minnows jumping around
  13. on Christmas day my wife and I always work its amazing how many skips go to Mom's house for Christmas usually means a good payday on Boxing day
  14. here is a grub that uses mono as thread and mono to build it up
  15. it works great and its basically free plus once you do it let it dry it can be used as a diving lip on a minnow fly
  16. I love fishing through a hole I have all the gadgets to fish camera, and sonar but no sat tv guess I know what I am going to ask for next year Birthday
  17. I usually take a piece of mono double it over making a loop about an 1/8th inch across then dip it in if it comes out with a nice thin film across it then it is thin enough if it doesn't fill the gap its to thin and if it is thick globby then its to thick
