  1. CCW, what thicknees foam did you buy? If it's thin it could be used for wrapping bodies of Stimulators and other dry flies. Good luck and don't be affraid to ask. Jeremy
  2. You could always donate the hooks to someone like TU or a local club that does tying with kids. As far as organizing I use hook boxes like these. hook boxes I put them in order of style and size, like all the tmc3769 are together in size order. I use small labels to make the tops Jeremy
  3. Those are some nice flies. Nice tying between snowstorms. How much snow this year? Jeremy
  4. I got them from a hardware store here in Canada, called Totem, they are the DIY kind very easy to build. They are American so you should be able to find them.. Sorry I recycled the boxes and can't remember the name of the maker... I found them on the Totem website and found some retailers in my area. Thanks. I have to say, you have some expensive furniture in there. Jeremy
  5. That's really nice. I have to ask, Where did you get those wood drawer units? I would really like to get one of those. I tie in my livingroom and try to keep thing neat looking. Thanks Jeremy
  6. That's exectly how I do it. It works great. Just make sure your bobbin isn't to loose tension wise or the weight of the bobbin will slowly let it drop. Jeremy
  7. Hey Joni, what's the round rack with the round plastic compartments used for? Is that for hooks or finished flies. I see one says 16 scud. Jeremy
  8. Drath, tapered legs are easy. I just set the radial arm saw at an angle, which is trial and error depending on thickness. Set a square up so the leg stays square to the blade and slowly pull it through. It takes alot of sanding to get it nice since it's so hard. The grain is really nice. I used clear waterbased poly on it so it doesn't yellow. I'm making a rack to put on the wall above the desk to put the good fly rods on. Jeremy
  9. Here is a pic from when I made it. I need some pic of it messed up. I made it out of cherry.
  10. I'll be home too. Probably tying flies. It was always called amature nite. Plus if I lose my license, I wouldn't be able to go fishing  .
  11. Happy new year. Jeremy
  12. That's Fantastic!!! Where did you get the emerging flies to add to it? Where do I place my order? Jeremy

    My new tying view

Incredible place to live. I'm willing to live in the tackle room AND pay rent to do so. Jeremy
  16. I'm a licensed operator at a waste water treatment plant. It's a :poop: job but somebody has to do it. It's really not that bad. We are the 5th largest in the country I think. I do a lot of cleaning on reactors that heat treat the sludge. There are ony 4 of us that do it in our plant of 600 so nobody really bothers us. We know our job and just get it done. I also work on Regenative aftereburners. I did 9 years of rotating shift there. So it's nice to be on steady days. I never tied for a shop but I have tied for a few friend who wanted something they couldn't find. They gave me some money to help with materials. So I guess I have tied for money, but it's at my pace. If I had to do it I'd probably hate it. Jeremy
  17. That's a beautiful place. I'm jealous. We had snow but it's all black from the roads. How many feet are on the ground now? Merry Christmas Jeremy
  18. I'll be there at some point. Depending on work schedule I may sit and tie for RRTU. I'm not the best tyer but I am a good material waster. :hyst:
  19. You got the chest and the material for christmas? :headbang: Great score!!! Jeremy
  20. Thanks. It's not wearly as clean or neat now. That was the day I brought it in. Jeremy
  21. Here is my desk. I made it out of cherry.
