  1. I got the package from Evan today, hopefully I can get them sorted and out tomorrow, but no guarantees. Great looking scullpins Evan. Blane

  4. Did anyone have a problem with processing their order? I couldn't get mine to go thru for some reason. I called and will probably get a call back from Kyle on Monday to see what the problem was. Blane
  5. I get about a tail a week from roadkill around here, fox squirrels are quite abundant in Dallas, especially our neighborhood, it has two creeks running thru it and is very much a wooded area. I see the first two versions often, never seen a specimen with a tail like the third one. Blane

  9. Bruce, please tell me where you got that hair stacker, I can't seem to find a big stacker like that anywhere, Griffin used to make one, but I haven't been able to find one anywhere. Blane
  10. Has anyone ever tried Pigeon? They aren't illegal to hunt and you might have a decent color choice if you're a good shot. Blane
  11. Depends on what you consider high end, the best place to get that answer might be the rodbuildingforum.com. Blane
  12. I went looking for some turkey feathers the other day and got a huge surprise, I'd been infested with bugs!!!! I had most of my feathers in a plastic tub that I keep closed for just this reason. I'd purchased some feathers at an auction from another tyer and I think they came with the saddles. I lost 2 full saddles, part of a Whiting ginger saddle and some turkey feathers. In other words, I got very lucky that it didn't take the whole 18"x24"15" tub of feathers. It is now loaded with moth balls and has been nuked to take care of any leftovers. One would think after reading this forum every day for a couple of years that I would have learned to not take chances with feathers and skins, BUT NOOOOOOO, I HAVE TO LEARN THE HARD WAY. Now fur and feather boxes and drawers are moth balled and I won't let it happen again, hopefully. Blane
  13. One can find skins in the buy it now section of ebay for $15 and free shipping almost all the time. Blane

  15. Mine will be in the mail on Monday. Blane
  16. Xrayts, how much weight did you use, are you using a 1/64 oz jig head? I would think that would be enough weight to get it down. Blane
  17. Xrayts, how much weight did you use, are you using a 1/64 oz jig head? I would think that would be enough weight to get it down. Blane
  18. I think we can wait for them. Blane

  20. Shovler flank feathers have a great pattern if I'm not mistaken, and all are good for something. Blane
  21. A small bundle of those guard hairs on ebay can fetch a nice wad of cash. I've seen them many times in the fly fishing listings on ebay, and they can cause bidding wars. Blane
  22. There is a guy on ebay that sells size 10 and 12 1/100oz jig head hooks at a really great price, but I can't remember the name. It was the cheapest price I found on the web. I think the name was Bob Craven. Blane
  23. The retreat just finished on Sunday, so no I haven't received anything from the women yet. Blane
