I think A.K. Best calls it a 'third hand' but it's really just a clothes pin for holding material when you're working with it. I find it a real nice addition and use it all the time. Bamboo

Thanks Al- I was more concerned that I wasn't doing something right and the fact that some flies did turn out looking better than others led me to believe that I was missing something. Use markers to color the dryer sheets. I've used them for wing cases but never with wing burners. Bamboo

Just to add confusion... I've always patched the inside. Bamboo

I haven't done it myself but have been told it works... Take your waders into some dark place like a closet, put a flashlight (turned on) inside the foot of the wader and the light shining through will help locate pin holes in breathable waders. In addition to aquaseal, loon outdoors make a product called 'sunpatch' or something like that for patching waders. Cures in about 5 minutes if exposed to sun. Loon products are available at most flyshops. Bamboo
