You could get some tungsten wire from performance flies. Tried to do a link but for some reason I could not get it to come over.

I use Dr. slick I have four of them. And I also have four others that I have no idea of who made those. All of them have the ceramic inserts. From time to time I've been tempted to try the expensive ones but have never pulled the trigger. Edit: Dang it, this post was supposed to be in the other bobbin thread, took a link from there to here forgot where I was and posted here by accident.

Yep, Charlie is of a dying breed. Like said, let him know what you're going to tie and he'll hand pick it for you. I just recently got some light & dark barred ginger soft hackle necks and he made sure one was light and one was dark.
