  4. What is on your tying bench other than material? dust!
  5. 1. read the manual to find the focus length of the macro (if youre gonna use it) 2. use a tripod. it gets rid of the shakes (you will still shake even if you hold your breath) 3. do not use the flash. turn it off 4. light the subject from above and below or from each side 5. light tents or studio in a box is not necessary to photograph flies 6. use the macro function or manual focus 7. read the manual 8. depress the shutter button 1/2 of the way down to let the camera focus on the subject. depress it the rest of the way down to take the picture. 9. if your camera has a timer or remote control, use it (not really necessary) read the info in the following site http://flyartstudio.com/wordpress/?page_id=2

  7. why not just hold it from slipping while you tie it down?? if the wire rib is pulling the scud back to the far side of the hook as you wrap forward, just reposition it after every wrap of wire. heres a nice tutorial http://ukflydressing.proboards.com/index.c...amp;thread=4994
