Gene L 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2022 These blue feathers were given to me by a vet who kept exotic birds. I think she was a "rescue" keeper as well.' I don't know if they can be used to tie a couple of flies; I know I CAN'T use them. If you want them, send me your mail address and they're yours. Philly 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2022 They look very similar to some parrot feathers my niece sent to me. I was able to tie some size 12 and size 14 nymphs with them
Moshup 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2022 Macaw I believe. I’ve used the shorter side to tie some interesting biot bodies. The longer side I leave to the salmon guys though the usually need center feather.
SalarMan 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2022 Blue and Yellow Macaw. These would be fine for small flies, but for classic salmon flies much too small. Long center tail feathers are what we use.
