Guest Report post Posted July 3, 2005 AA, It is tied on a fairly large streamer hook so in this case it is a streamer. That is what is so great about these old patterns, you can adapt them to be whatever. It actually wouldn't take too much more to turn this into an Atlantic salmon fly. A salmon hook, a couple of Golden Pheasant crests, an oval tinsel tag, maybe the rear half of the body in red floss, Jungle cock and Indian crow and you have one nice Atlantic.
