Linesides 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2005 I have checked at Hook and Hackle, FC, and Stockard as well as Netcraft. Unless they are calling claret red a different name Im missing it. Does anyone have a source for this color as well as this question? What is 8 strand floss from the standard floss? Is it better? Thanks, Dave Once again this site rules. If I can ever do anything to help out let me know.

jcstikfish 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2005 UNI products has a floss color called Wine. I use this when a pattern calls for claret. As a matter of fact, I used it last night for a Bergmann wet fly that called for a claret colored floss body. ~James
