Heavyweight caddis larva

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I wanted to show you these caddis larvas what I use very often (quite old pattern). They are leadbodied and will drop fast thru the current. I've managed to catch some really good brownies and grayling with these.

Wow, from looking at the fly it would appear that it is very difficult to tie, but from looking at the photos it seems pretty easy to tie.

I may have to try tying a few.

Thanks for the information

Thanks for the link buddy. Its not far off from Oliver Edwards versions of caddis tying. Very Cool. Looks like a great website just wish I understood the writing.

It's pretty much same as Oliver Edwards has tied, I just have used thin skin on the back instead colouring. What comes to understanding finnish, I'll help you with that, if you help me with my english ;)
