I did not win in any catagory, but what I did win was the challenge and encouragement to increase my skills. Thanks everyone for an enjoyable time. JRG 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2006 I was hoping that bee would win as it got my vote. Maybe next year I'll enter some flies... Not sure how everyone was voting but appearances were almost secondary to who got my final vote. I was really judging on how nicely the fly was tied and how difficult a tie I thought it was. The bumble bee was just so darn realistic looking that I couldn't help but vote for it. The 5th place mayfly was a nice fly as well but basically a re-make of last years winner which was my only criticism (if you can call it that) and I don't think it's that difficult of a tie. There is no limit to my amazement and gladness, especially after the joke of Smallie Hanter. About the victory I knew from the personal message of Graham and thought that this the error. Really will I have bamboo fly rod ????? I can not in it to trust... I am touched and low-spirited by the amount of pozdravpenyy and by attention. Thank you.
