flytire 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2006 Nothing to do so I decided to play around with some free downloaded software (Photo Story 3 from Microsoft) and made a psuedo video of an old Colorado fly pattern, The "Buckskin Nymph" Nothing groundbreaking, just another way to do a tutorial and learn the software. Inconnu 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2006 Hey that is great! I have an old pattern book that shows it with just a tail, but I like the hackle tied back alot better! By the way thanks for making me aware of Photobucket!
troutguy 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2006 I bought a skunk skin on eBay. The skin is just about bald only the tail and hind end have any fur (the seller picture showed that). The leather is tanned. It is the finest white smooth leather. It will make better nymphs and grubs then the hair.

troutguy 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2006 I never saw this in NY, but down here people make a worm out of leather and fish it. It is just like the old pork rind for bass trick. The worm is stiff until it gets wet.
