Dale 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 You shouldn't need to tie up anymore of those for such a long time you'll have forgotten the pattern!!
RoyalWulff 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 how long did that take you?
duckydoty 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 spent about 3 days on them. I'm sure after a couple of trips I'll need to be tying some more up. I usually end up giving too many of them away when people start asking"Whatchya usin?" I just hand them out. duckydoty
flytiehunt 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 Looking good my friend. I guess I know who to hit up on the river. What color thread are you using for the heads?
duckydoty 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 I likes to use a florescent orange thread to kind of give them a hot spot. :dunno: Seems to work for me. duckydoty Jeremy, You fishing tonight? Might be fun in the snow :headbang: duckydoty
Harold Ray 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 I usually end up giving too many of them away when people start asking"Whatchya usin?" I just hand them out. That's impressive, and it is also very kind of you to give tham away like that! Ray

RoyalWulff 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 no scud back? what type of dubbing did you use? those look great
duckydoty 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 No scud back. That's why they're sow bugs. Scuds take too long to tie when sow bugs work just as good :dunno: Favorite dubbings for Lake Taneycomo Awesome Possum's in Natural Light, and Natural Brown Dark Hare's Mask and Red Fox duckydoty
RoyalWulff 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 beauty, I will definatly have to tie some of them up! Scud back has become my nemesis... those sow bugs look great, maybe you could do a step by step for the pattern... Unless it would drive you crazy, looks like an awesome box though.. i persoanlly like the clean look of the organized box (i hate unorganized things) -Phil
duckydoty 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2007 I could work on a step by step this weekend. Should be the shortest one ever done on here. Cant be a simpler fly to tie. duckydoty
