yes it is. Ronn Lucas made the rib the first time what i know anyway.

Hackle: Hackle, grizzly - twisted together with tying thread before wrapping

Hackle: Hackle, blue dun - twisted together with tying thread before wrapping

Body: Tying silk - kept very short

Hello everyone I havn't posted any flies lately (my #22 does not count lol), fantastic flies by all though.

Here are a couple I have been tying lately.

Thread: Benecchi 12/0, light brown

Abdomen: Argentinean hare, pale brown

Rear abdomen: Argentinean hare, dark olive

Wing: Moufflon (or deer hair as substitute)

Front thorax: Grouse feather, one side stripped; Argentinean hare, dark olive - twisted

 

Note: Moufflon hair and underfur have a much higher lanolin content than deer hair.

Hans, the amount of well tied superb flies you make is out of reach. how many flies do you tie in a year?
