steelie 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2009 Good Day, Where to start... Keep it in a well sealed container with a moth ball or two. Most of your "skinny" hackle will be in the center and the wider hackle off to the sides. Try to keep it flat, not folded. Next... Steelie

Worstcaster 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 Remember to leave some space between the front of the wind and the hook eye to tie down the hackle and make the fly head.
iso18 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 trim butt ends of hackle to 1/8 inch to prevent slippage.Hmm,tie the hackles in,butts facing toward the eye and shiny side facing you.Three turns in behind wing and two in front as a general rule.Read all you can about tying dry flies and the best possible thing would be to watch someone with experience tie some dries,if not waych videos on the web, google adams dry or dry fly tying videos. my 2 cents shane
Brian Brown75 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 Tie in so it is lined down the shank so when you wrap it, it will double and give you a fuller look
