Arkansas Mike 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2009 Well, I divided up the flies today, so when Wildman's flies arrive I'll be all set to ship them off to you. Obviously, I didn't think before I said that we each tie 12 flies, when there were only 12 participants. That, along with the fact that Scott V had to drop out, means that I have at least one extra fly from each of you (not counting the "gift" flies you sent). I'll return them with your sets. I like tall wings, but after a point, it'll effect the fly's balance. Just tell everyone that it's a new winging style that's all the rage in Europe. JohnR 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2009 I should have responded a couple days ago... I got my set. They look great, folks!!! I'm going to see if I can learn to tie up a couple of them. Mike - I love the pictures! Wish I could take such good close-ups. Really helps see how the flies are tied. Also, if you all happen to think about it -- I've been tying for less than a year. I want to improve my skills and the only way I can do so is to get good, constructive criticism. So, please, PM me with your critique of my catskill. [brutal honesty is what I'm after.
