jhammer 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 I thought this would be a neat one to talk about. Who listens to some music while tying flies? If so, what plays at your bench? I usually have Led Zeppelin, Styx, Metallica, or Black Sabbath playing while I'm tying. Nothing wrong with rocking out at the bench right? Rarely am I ever in the mood for country, but some some reason I have a couple Oak Ridge Boys songs pop up every now and then. runcible 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 gpd4, You will probably like WCPE. I am close enough to receive the FM signal, but I think they provide an excellent online streaming service, and they broadcast 24/7. runcible

Before I hated country but now I love listening to some country.

FrequentTyer 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2011 I don't like the distraction. I love good jazz and bluegrass, espsecially live performances, and classical makes great driving music. But when I listen to music I like to focus on the music. I pretty much tie quietly. Maybe it's just that one track mind my wife claims I have... MowestFlyfisher 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2011 depends on the day anything from metal, bluegrass, country, to some classic rock and roll, or even classical music. I think my preferences come down to what fly i am tying. If i am tying some monster of a fly-metal seems to be the choice, classic trout patterns deserve classical music, and just tying i will prefer to listen to bluegrass or country its what I like best. FlyFishin'Jam 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2011 These days i have become fond of sitting down at the bench with a stack of vinyl, i will set up the vice, put a record on, reach over and flip it when needed or put a new disc on, just love the sound, so rich and full. And i have so many records, probably close to 8000. Speaking of vinyl here is a kool set of pictures of famous people with their vinyl. http://www.dangerousminds.net/comments/famous_people_hanging_out_with_their_vinyl
NJFlyMAn 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2011 Well this month my taste of music changed when tying flies. I'm now listening to Contemporary Instrumental.Piano solos, acoustic ensembles, Celtic, world, and classical interpretations. I also enjoy listening to all the puremoods & instrumentalmoods on the Ipod.
