Margaretann 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2011 Flies are done and will be in the mail tomorrow via priority mail. I didn't do the beadhead as it just didn't work that well for me. I made some size 16 dry flies that have foam on the top. Can't wait to see the rest of the flies. Received your flies today.

damselfly 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2011 My idea of making Dennys with a gorilla glue head has not worked out well. The heads I have made are not able to float the hook, and they sink like they were weighted. If no one objects, I would like to change my pattern to a foam beetle. I will experiment with the Dennys later, might be able to figure out how to make them work. Jolly Red, if you figure out a way to tie Round Dinny's, please let me know they are my FAV top water pattern! the bass pro store here doesn't carry them anymore as i used to buy them. There was a thread on the warmwater forum this year giving the details for tying the denny. Look in the data base for the tie, and search the warm water forum for the discussion.
