Kirk Dietrich 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2011 I like it. I have good luck with a regular Tellico on bream, great fly/color combination. Kirk

Will K 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2011 Interesting history. I always fished tied the Telico on a standard length wet or nymph hook to be more of a universal mayfly nymph... worked great hear in New England... never thought of a long one! Great info. thanks for sharing it.
hambone870 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2011 I love stones and this look quite new for me, thanks for sharing. Is the wing case just a strip of feather from a turkey? Pardon my ignorance I'm new.
gpd4 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2011 Hambone, yes - but it's probably coated with Fleximent or Softex first. Flytire or 'King of Google' makes it look easy...

flytire 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2011 yes it is one 1/4 inch wide strip of turket feather. it can also be reinforced by using wire or mono as a rib and spiral wrapped along side the peacock herl.
