bluegill576 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2011 So we had the poll on tyer/tier and now I keep seeing woolly/wooly bugger spelled differently. So how do you guys spell it? The dictionary says that both are right. I have always spelled it woolly, but I may very well be wrong.

Yeti 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2011 I have always spelled it "wooly". I double checked with the high school literature teacher girlfriend. She agreed. I'm not gonna argue when she says I'm right.

deeky 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2011 My authority on all things spelling - Microsoft Word spellcheck - lists both spellings as correct. It even gives the same synonyms for both. So I guess both are correct. But having to pick one, I went with 'woolly' simply because the double 'l' looks better to my eye. Â Deeky
riffleriversteelheadslayer 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2011 I picked the double L because when I type it I always double tap it but being as lazy as I am if I am writing it with a pen I only use one L
