oatka 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2012 I mainly fish ponds. Close ponds. Ponds that are often just feet from the road or a short hike. Therefore I often find myself back at the car with a wet fly and no good place to put it. That has changed. I've made a storage space that allows the flies a place to dry. Here it is. Chase Creek 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2012 Great idea! I usually just tape the flies to the car antenna. But then I end up tying up a few new ones to replace the ones lost on the freeway.
ditz2 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2012 CC....hahahaha...you need to change to 3M brand tape. It is better stuff. hehehe
Peterjay 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2012 You can get similar pads at Michaels or A.C. Moore for a couple of bucks. I forget exactly where I got mine, but it's one or the other. I use them to hold flies while the heads dry. They're also a cheap source of foam for popper heads.
