hopperfisher 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2012 Has anyone ever heard of or seen any duckling imitations for big pike, musky or largemouth? I'm sure you Northern Midwest guys could chime in on this one.
hopperfisher 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2012 Typo in the title, I meant "duckling imitations"
tidewaterfly 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2012 There have been wooden & plastic lures produced that looked liked ducklings, but I don't recall seeing a fly like that. Possible someone may have tied one. Pat Cohen would be the most likely to have done one IMO. His deerhair work is masterful.

It's called the Merganser Duckling and it imitates a duckling in distress.

switch10 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 I grew up in northern Wisconsin, and I have seen ducklings following their mothers get taken many times. A friend of mine had a rubber ducky with moving legs and a huge treble hook he used to throw with his spin casting rod. I don't know if he ever caught anything on it, but it was pretty funny.
