Great flies! A SBS would be outstanding. I look forward to your posts whenever i log on. You are a true artist.

Thanks a lot, BattenkillBum :-) :-)

I really appreciate your kind comment on my flies :-)

I have made a step by step on the cdc version that you can take a look at here:

Very nice Terje! Nice to see you use something other that CDC for wings :) Your flies are not only pretty they are practical as well. That's what I shoot for in my tying as well.

Thanks a lot, shoebop :-)

Practical is certainly the thing i´m looking for when i tie flies so that´s the most important thing for me for sure :-) :-)

PS. YES, i definitely can use other materials than cdc :-) :-) ..... BUT..... i have to admit that i´m really really into cdc :-) :-)

Terje,

Dido to all the comments above. I Like the idea that they are fishing flies, not just fisherman flies. I do have a question, what size are you tying?

The size on these varies after how long you make the foam body. I use Knapek P hooks in #14 and #16. It´s all about matching the hatch in terms of how long you make the body.

It not so important if the hook is a bit to big as long as the body is within the range of the actual caddis pupa that the trout are feeding on :-)

Terje,

I will be tying up some of these, soon. I can also see how these would make a great damsel fly if the tail were extended a bit.

Again, thank you for sharing such a fantastic pattern, Now all we need, up here, is some open water, and April 1st.

Sincerely,

Michael R. Earle

Take care
