Piker20 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2014 I see you use the drainer cones alot Harvard. How do you find they cast? The turbo cones and monster cones in M and L I have to say I am not overly pleased with and wondered if these lift easier due to the holes?
eide 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2014 No problem with the drainer discs that I use, they are quite light and I haven't noticed anything with them as far as casting goes.
utyer 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2014 Saw a post about Wulff flies a few days ago, and thought I would tie up a few. Haven't needed any hair wing dry flies in a long time, just seeing if I can still do them. The last one is tied with moose body for the wing and tail, and the body is moose main. I like the hi-vis wing; definitely something to have when tying those smaller sizes. TC

utyer 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2014 Started tying popper only this January, here are some of my latest efforts: The third picture is a popper that is supposed to ride hook point up. The last three are the same bug also should ride with the hook point up.
Stippled Popper 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2014 utyer: Nice ties. I'd be interested to know how the second from the left( with the double wire(I think) weed guard) works for you.
