mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2015 I don't know about free tying "books" but there's two websites besides this one that helped me a lot. http://www.flyrecipes.com look for patterns with instructions .... but the tying videos are pretty good. http://www.flyanglersonline.com Go to "home" then find the "fly tying" tab on the left ... "beginners" If you type any type of fly into YouTube, you'll get tons of instructional videos.

phg 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2015 Fly Anglers Online: www.flyanglersonline.com has a beginners fly tying series that was written by the late Al Campbell. Lots of good stuff in that series. From the home page, click, in the left menu, on Fly Tying, and select Beginning Tying. As good, if not better, than most books you can buy, and completely free. ditz2 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2015 The NET is a wonderful tool.....There is very little that is not available to teach you anything about fly tying and it is much better to actually see it done as it is being explained that to just see a couple of photos and a written explanation. You can learn more in a month than I learned in years of self research in books.
