fshng2 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2018 Nice fshng2 Id like to tie some of those, gonna have to look it up Thanks Mike, attached is the SBS I loosely followed using material I had on hand. http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/topic/10094-how-to-steps-davy-wotton-shad/ Didn't like the look of the finished fly with respect to the hook gap, even though I have some of those hooks. I felt a wider gap like the mosquito would provide a better hook-set although I would need to add a shank. With that said I fished the fly for half a day and the bass approved. A total of 5 were caught 3 self released and I must of missed at least 20 more. I didn't do a float test before completion of the fly, just assumed it would set lower in the water. Turns out the whole fly floated like a cork..... not good. Rev 2 Improvements: Fly to set about a 45-degree angle in the resting position. Longer tail = bigger target for fish. Hopefully I will see the score improve.

GlennNY 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2018 Discovered the "wonder wing" while watching a youtube video and had to try it. The darker one is grouse, the lighter on is wood duck. I like 'em and will have to tie a bunch to keep on hand. Thanks for looking. Glenn
