vicrider 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2018 Yep, they came in with a bunch of the Christmas package. Nice group of flies. Bob, my nephew who still hasn't caught a trout said he was fishing a lake in New Mexico and he said the trout were coming up and eating small brown bugs that looked like little moths. Wonder if those wouldn't work. Gave nephew some of my small trout spinners this year and a couple of bobb indicators. Didn't do him any good even though the spinners he had have caught a big bunch of fish in lakes and rivers over the years. Going to try to get him into a fly rod next year for sure. A note on the Bubblehead Charm (my contribution) -- it was originally tied as a slider for smallmouth bass in rivers, but I have discovered that it also works well as a "waking" mouse pattern for trout in rivers.
