Pbass 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2020 Hi- I tied this fly about 3 years ago at one of those Free Fly Tying days at a local shop. I didn't really pick up tying at that time. Now that I am tying I would like to try and find a youtube instruction video so I can try and tie it again. Its difficult because I don't even know what it is. It is the only articulated fly I have ever tried. Do any of you know what it is called or the name of something close to this? Thank you

If you search for "articulated fly patterns" you'll get a bunch of hits.

BHouk 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2020 I just received an offer for a book by Blane Chocklett called Game Changer: Tying Flies that Look & Swim Like the Real Thing. These are tied on a series of shanks to create a spine. Kind of the extreme articulated fly pattern. Pbass, take a look at these if you are interested in articulated patterns https://flymenfishingcompany.com/collections/the-blane-chocklett-signature-fly-collection
