Moshup 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2020 True. Though maybe the other breeder’s line have improved and I’ll say it for you “I’m sure Whiting’s products have improved as well.”
upnorthtier 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2020 root river hackle used to be howard hackle. I have a few saddles from back when. really nice stuff . I also have a few saddles from skilto, shorter feathers on them but still nice.hackle seems to be on the bigger size. like size 12 and bigger.
ScienceGuy141 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2021 Roughly how long are the feathers on the skilto saddles? I've been looking to buy some feathers for streamers and bass/pike flies. I'm hoping to be able to get webby feathers for palmering wooly buggers/streamers and some smaller feathers for wings/sides/lateral lines on streamers. Is it possible to find a decent amount of both feather types on a single cape? The options seem endless from the different suppliers, deceiver/bugger packs, rooster capes, coq de leon, etc. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
