  3. I need the address to send them too I am sorry to be running a lil late but was in the hospital for the last week and was unable to get them into the mail yet
  4. I'm in with a Gibby's Bead-Eye Bluegill Fly, been looking for an excuse to harass all the local perch. and this looks like a cool pattern.
  5. Thank you, it wont take long to tie them so I will mail them by the end of next week.
  6. I am new to swapping but will probably treat them the same as flies I buy, keep them on the bench until I can tie an exact match without looking at the original. Then I take them to the river so that they can fulfill there reason to exist.
  7. Got mine in the mail today. I through in a couple of my favorite midges for you guys too.
  8. Sounds good to me. I'll close the swap and we'll each tie up a dozen. Three people swap it is! FisheyeDon you cool with this? Works for me and if you guys want I will do 6 black cripple and 6 sulfur
  9. Welcome home, and its funny since I discovered the forum I am on here so much that my wife says its worse than her and the boys facebook habits combined happy tying
  10. Thank you fished some like them this morning and they still work lol hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do
  11. Thank you I must say I love the little midges I never makes a cast without one tied on as at least a dropper. It has gotten to the point that I have a box that is only for the midges with 5 or so of each size in every color I fish. But you got it right on the gold one, I have tinkered with it a little and come up with a pattern that is a 1/16 copper toungston head size 20 TMC 2487BL hook and extra small copper wire with tan thread that is almost a guaranteed fish on every cast.
  12. Finished tying all of them will get them in the mail in the next day or two
  13. The south Holston River between Bristol and Bluff City Tn and I am just lucky enough to be on the river 6 days a week.
  14. I guess since it doesn't matter to me I will let you guys vote for the size on mine #22 or #24. I fish this pattern almost daily in sizes 20 through 26 and all seem to perform well. Just let me know what you guys would prefer. I would also like to thank everyone in advance for participating this seems to be shaping up into a really cool group of flies.
  15. Thank You I tie it in 3 different patterns Copper, Gold, and Silver. For the last month the crazy trout wont even glance at the silver or gold but I consistently 15 to 20 fish a day on the copper. It's funny sometime I pair up the copper with one of the others and almost every fish is on the copper no matter if it is the lead fly or the rear.
  16. I can agree with that, and the important thing is no matter what you are fishing with or for at least you are fishing.
  17. Yesterday morning I took my boys to the river with me for some quality time together. Also they have been wanting to learn to Fly fish since I fell into the sport and became obsessed. This trip was the first time he had ever held a fly rod. I had worked with him just a few min on how to cast and use the reel. I stepped away to help my other son get started and on Nicks second cast he started yelling daddy its stuck, then the fish jumped and he realized he had just caught his first trout. The picture is funny because he always looks terrified of or disgusted by being so close to the fish. He was so pumped up by catching this fish that he was rushing back to his spot in the river and promptly fell getting soaked and if you have never fished the south holston, let me tell you that water is cold. After falling he tried to fish a few more minutes then asked if his mom could take him home. Caught on #22 Tan and Copper Zebra Midge South Holston River Bristol Tn
